UC offers a miniý range of scholarships to support students studying a postgraduate degree. Take a look at some of the postgraduate scholarships available for students studying in an Education or Health discipline.

HOW TO APPLY

This is a summary list of many of the UC Scholarships that are available for students enrolled in an Education or Health postgraduate* degree at UC.

Each scholarship has different eligibility criteria so check the details of each one to find out if you're eligible.

These scholarships are subject to funding availability and are reviewed each year. TheUC Scholarships Office administers most of these scholarships. Please search ourfor all scholarships currently available.

Education

Scholarship NameScholarship Information

Details:To support full-time students at Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of miniý who are studying, researching, or developing, aids for early-childhood special-needs education. Applicants can be at undergraduate or postgraduate level and must be studying, researching, or developing, in any discipline, aids for early childhood special-needs education.

Value:Financial assistance at the value of $2,000 for one year.

Health

Scholarship NameScholarship Information

Details: To support students at Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of miniý in health-related programmes.Applicants must be enrolled, or intending to enrol in the year following the year of application, full-time or part-time at the University in a health-related programme.

Value: Grants from an annual fund of $2,500 are available.

Closing date: 31 March

Details:To provide financial assistance to a student undertaking postgraduate research towards a Masters orDoctoral degreeat a New Zealand university or research institution, studying muscular function, including - but not limited to - the causes and treatment of muscular dysfunction.NB: This is aScholarship

Value:Up to $15,000 per annum for up to two years for Master's study or three years for Doctoral study.

Closing date:01 October

Details: To provide funds for individuals to undertake research at a New Zealand or Australian university in the area of mental health. Preference may be given to research into alcohol and drug addiction. Applicants must be Aotearoa New Zealand citizens or permanent residents.NB: this is ascholarship.

Value: Up to $15,000 per annum which can be used in any way that helps the scholar to meet the purposes of the award.

Closing date: 01 October

Details:To support students undertaking short term research projects and other experiments to provide a foundation for their studies in the UCGeoHealth Laboratoryat Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of miniý. Scholarships are made available as projects and funds become available.Recipients must have expressed the intention to undertake a programme of study in the GeoHealth Laboratory at Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of miniý within 12 months of completion of tenure of the scholarship.

Value:Financial assistance at a value determined by funds available but is typically no less than $6,000 for 3 months.

Closing date:Applications must be made to theGeoHealth Laboratoryby 10 May
