There are often many barriers for students wishing to continue education at university level, and UC acknowledges that for students of developing countries, in particular, assistance may be required to get there.
To encourage these students and try to rectify possible imbalances, UC offers a number of equity-based scholarships available for international students.聽

Applicants cannot be citizens of Aotearoa New Zealand or Australia or holders of Aotearoa New Zealand or Australia residence class visas and must be either (a) citizens of Bangladesh, Cambodia, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Kiribati, Lao People鈥檚 Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nauru, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea, Pakistan, the People鈥檚 Republic of China, Philippines, the Republic of Korea, Samoa, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, or Vietnam; or (b) residents of Rapa Nui. Value:聽Financial assistance with tuition fees and compulsory charges, at a value of NZD$10,000. 顿别迟补颈濒蝉:听To support full-time undergraduate Asian students at UC. Applicants must be enrolled full-time at UC in their second, third or fourth year of an undergraduate degree programme. Applicants must be either (1) citizens of Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Lao People鈥檚 Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pakistan, People鈥檚 Republic of China, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Timor-Leste, or Vietnam, or (2) holders of Hong Kong permanent identity cards. Applicants聽must not聽also聽be citizens of Aotearoa New Zealand or holders of Aotearoa New Zealand residence class visas. | Manaaki New Zealand Scholarships | 痴补濒耻别:听Varies but typically includes tuition fees, a stipend and cover of some other costs. Details: Manaaki Scholarships聽are offered by the New Zealand Government to build future leaders in developing countries. Full scholarships are available for both undergraduate and postgraduate study, depending on your home country. See Manaaki New Zealand Scholarships website for more details.
