It is not a possibility for all subject areas but sometimes a Department has funding that they are able to offer a student a scholarship with - check with your supervisor to see if this is a possibility for you.聽
If they are able to offer a scholarship to you, they will need to complete a Scholarship Request Form and send it to us at the Scholarships Office. Get them to contact us if they have any questions.
Once we have received this Request Form, we will send you a formal scholarship offer. Once you have accepted this, we can issue you with a scholarship confirmation letter which can be useful as proof of income if you are looking for visas, accommodation, banking etc.聽聽
